My 1st Big FAT Jewish Wedding
I don't know why it's so hard for me to do wedding blog posts. Actually, I do. A typical wedding for me usually ends up with around 100-150 final images per hour. So an 8 hour wedding day could end up with 1,200 or more photos. Let's not even talk about if I am working with a 2nd shooter! All that to say, sorting through the photos to decide what to post can be OVERWHELMING! I mean, I love hundreds of them and I know YOU probably can only spend 2-3 minutes of your precious ti

Happy Anniversary!
June 3rd will be Luke and Lindsey's 1st wedding anniversary. To celebrate, they are taking a trip to Canada and decided to schedule an anniversary shoot with me. We met at Rockledge park in Flower Mound right at sunset. I forgot it was Memorial Day weekend and Lake Grapevine was PACKED. We still were able to find a little corner for their photo shoot. Wait, Did You Say NEWBORN Session?
I am a wedding photographer. I am a wedding photographer. I am a wedding photographer. I am a newborn photographer. WAIT, WHAT? Over the years, I have transitioned primarily into wedding and engagement photography. I feel like it's the most natural type of photography for me. It doesn't make me nervous at all. I feel like I am totally in my element during a wedding. It's what I was meant to do. Of course, I do many other kinds of photo shoots like senior pictures (my 2nd favo

Christie + Mike: Historic Wedding Chapel Elopement
Pretty much decided that if I could make a living just photographing elopements, then I would only do that. This was my 1st elopement and hopefully not my last. Christie and Mike got married on Friday at Special Moments Chapel in Lewisville. The historic church was built in 1901 and has a great old fashioned feel to it. I can only imagine all the brides that have walked down that same aisle in the chapel's 117 year history. Since they decided to get married in secret, the co

Bride's Guide: How Many Hours Do You Really Need?
When it comes to wedding photography, most brides need help when it comes to knowing how many hours of photography to book. The average wedding ceremony is 30 min to 1 hour. A typical reception is anywhere from 3-5 hours. Once you add in times for family, bridal party and wedding party pictures, that can range from 30 min to 1 hour depending how the number of people and how important bride and groom portraits are to you. There are several factors to consider when deciding the

So honored and excited to win The Knot Best of Weddings Photographer award for the DFW area for the 3rd year in a row. The secret recipe to winning is never revealed to us, but I do know it relies heavily on your reviews each year and there is a minimum number of reviews you must receive to even qualify. Thank you to all my brides, grooms, mother of the bride/groom and bridesmaids that spent their time writing a review for me. It means everything to me! Let me tell you a stor
